We are seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Operative to support the general upkeep and smooth running of our production facility.

This role is not a heavy engineering position. It is suited to someone practical and organised who can carry out very minor repairs, coordinate external contractors, and help keep the site tidy, safe and well-maintained.

You will act as the first point of contact for maintenance issues on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out very minor repairs and adjustments where appropriate
• Identify maintenance issues and arrange external contractors (plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc.)
• Act as on-site contact when contractors are attending
• Carry out general site and facilities upkeep, including tidying, basic repairs and housekeeping
• Monitor condition of buildings, equipment and services and report issues early
• Ensure work areas remain safe, clean and organised
• Maintain basic maintenance and contractor records

What We’re Looking For

• Practical, hands-on individual with general maintenance or facilities experience
• Comfortable assessing issues and knowing when to call a specialist
• Organised and reliable, with good communication skills
• Strong awareness of health & safety
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, factory, warehouse or farm environments
• Familiarity dealing with external trades and service providers
• Forklift licence
