Position Title: Maintenance General Operative

Location: Dublin - Multi – sites

Work Schedule: 35 Hours Monday - Friday

Contract: Permanent

Salary: € 31,352 - € 44,415 Depending on Experience

Reporting to: Building & Maintenance Team Leader

The Role: The role objective is to enable Crosscare to maintain and improve each of its buildings across Dublin in the most effective and cost-efficient way possible.

General Responsibilities:

  • This position requires a semi-skilled individual with some relevant experience.

  • The main duties of the post include the delivery of maintenance work and minor improvement works.



  • Responsibilities:

  • General operative duties include and not limited to: -

  • General building duties

  • Removing building materials & rubbish from site area

  • Filling the skip

  • Loading and unloading materials

  • Carrying building materials

  • Knocking down walls

  • Removing doors and partitions

  • Using power tools

  • Cleaning site area

  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment

  • To undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and minor improvement works as required by the Maintenance Team Leader such as carpentry, plumbing, tiling, ground works, changing lamps and cleaning etc.

  • To operate appropriate equipment in a safe manner

  • To maintain equipment as required

  • In conjunction with the Administration and Facilities Manager to ensure that staff are aware of and implement current Health & Safety policy and procedures.

  • To promote an ethos of best practice, professionalism, accountability and ongoing learning within the project

Qualification Required & Experience Required

Some knowledge and understanding of the wide range of technical requirements involved in building maintenance and development: carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, plastering.

  • Relevant experience in a similar role

  • Previous Health & Safety exposure (desirable)

  • Full Clean Driving License (desirable)

  • Safe Pass Qualification (desirable)

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
