Getting to the Osprey : Free onsite parking for staff . Using public transport , the bus will leave you just a short walk away from the hotel. Using the train , you can hop on the feeder bus into Naas from the Sallins train station and this will leave you with just a short walk to the hotel.

The Role:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day upkeep of the hotel, ensuring all facilities, equipment, and guest areas are maintained to the highest standard. This role supports the maintenance manager and leads the maintenance team, manages preventative maintenance schedules, responds to repair needs promptly, and ensures full compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, organised, and committed to delivering a safe, efficient, and well‑presented environment for guests and staff.

About The Role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance operations across all hotel areas, including bedrooms, public spaces, leisure facilities, kitchens, and back‑of‑house as directed by the maintenance manager.
  • Perform hands‑on maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
  • Carry out routine inspections as directed by the maintenance manager to identify maintenance needs, safety risks, and areas requiring improvement.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Ensure all equipment, plant rooms, and building systems (HVAC, boilers, fire safety systems, etc.) are functioning correctly and maintained in line with regulations.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure all tasks are completed on time.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance works, inspections, and equipment servicing.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities role, ideally within a hotel or similar hospitality environment
  • Strong technical skills across basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
  • Experience supervising or coordinating a small team, with the ability to motivate and support staff
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to priorities tasks in a busy, guest‑focused setting
  • Strong understanding of health & safety standards, building regulations, and safe working practices
  • Ability to manage preventative maintenance schedules and maintain accurate records
  • Confident in liaising with contractors and external service providers
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive, hands‑on approach
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all hotel departments
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent issues and support hotel operations as needed
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards throughout the property
