Uni-Fab, a global provider in custom fabrication of aluminum, steel and stainless-steel products has an opening for an Industrial Maintenance Technician.

The Maintenance Technician supports production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery, equipment and facilities consisting of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Job Duties

• Inspect and perform repairs on buildings and equipment, including, but not limited to, equipment, tools, machinery, and electrical systems
• Completes preventative and corrective maintenance requirements
• Locate the source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools
• Adjust or fabricate functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels and alignment equipment
• Control downtime by informing plant manager/maintenance manager of routine preventative maintenance
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling correction of abnormalities
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedure, rules and regulations
• Perform any other tasks as necessary

Requirements

• 3+ years of maintenance experience is an asset.
• Must be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical prints
• Must be capable of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications
• Must be familiar with a variety of tools typically used in a manufacturing facility.
• Must be able to troubleshoot the following systems and processes, Rockwell, AC Drives, DC Drives, Servo Drives, PLC, HMI
• Must be comfortable with drills, grinders, pneumatics, hydraulics, valves, vacuum pumps and lubrication systems
• Valid driver’s license required
