The Role

We are seeking a skilled to join our production team. This role is critical in ensuring all plant machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on plant equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of production machinery
• Use a Computerised Maintenance Management System to log work, track maintenance activities, and manage schedules
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise performance
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and internal procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
• Manage spare parts and liaise with external suppliers where required

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Technician
• 2–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Experience working with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
• Strong knowledge of health & safety standards in industry

Desirable Skills

• Dual-skilled (mechanical/electrical)
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, or automation systems
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma practices
• Certifications such as Working at Heights or Abrasive Wheels
