Position Summary

Gielow Pickles is seeking an experienced and dependable Industrial Maintenance Worker to join our maintenance team at our Fort Pierce, Florida facility. The Industrial Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing production equipment and facility systems to help ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing issues.
• Diagnose equipment problems and make necessary repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Perform equipment installations, adjustments, modifications, and repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and identify potential maintenance issues before equipment failures occur.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, bearings, and other industrial equipment.
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting, including motors, controls, sensors, switches, and other electrical components.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and general mechanical repairs as needed.
• Maintain and repair facility equipment and systems.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and accurately document completed work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Respond to maintenance calls and production equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Work closely with production employees and supervisors to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable environmental regulations.
• Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Assist with other maintenance duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be dependable and have good attendance.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts when needed.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, tools, and materials.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, varying temperatures, and other normal plant conditions.
• Ability to safely work from ladders, platforms, and elevated work areas when required.

Pay: $23.20 - $28.07 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 – 60.0 per week
