CIS Management is an award winning Property Management company with Affordable Housing properties all across New Jersey! Come Join our team as a Maintenance Tech at our Multi-family property located in Elizabeth, NJ!

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for completing work orders. The Maintenance Tech must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize workload, professional and helpful demeanor on the phone and in person, strong attention to detail, and a common knowledge of general maintenance work. The Maintenance Tech reports to and works closely with the Facilities Manager.

Maintenance Tech Duties:

• Ensure community facilities are well maintained
• Schedule and participate in maintenance projects
• Perform plumbing work such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, zone valves, pipe sections, etc
• Perform carpentry work such as fitting doors, replacing molding, repairing structural framing, and refinishing floors
• Clean grounds, and common areas
• Paint, tape and spackle
• Repair concrete, masonry, roofing and fences
• Maintain and Monitor HVAC systems
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, work orders, turnovers, annual inspections, inventories and purchase orders
• Recommend improvements at facilities and/or services
• Ensure work is completed as assigned, within the specified timeframe the amount allocated
• Perform other duties assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma
• 2-3 years’ Experience in Maintenance and Janitorial
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to communicate and work with various levels of management and personalities
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to tactfully and diplomatically interact with Memory Care residents
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent customer service and friendly demeanor
• Necessary tools to perform general maintenance
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Must be able to follow directions and adjust as needed
• Eager to learn and take on additional responsibility
• Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and stoop for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule:

Must be able to work between the appropriate business hours.

Monday - Friday: 9:00AM - 5:00PM or 8:30AM - 4:30PM and on-call for emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
