Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, with expertise in electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as an ohmmeter and interpret schematics for effective repairs.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for structural repairs or modifications.
- Oversee facilities maintenance activities, including residential painting and general upkeep of the premises.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
- Lead and supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with a focus on electrical systems and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of schematics related to electrical and mechanical systems.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a similar environment is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
- Customer service orientation with a commitment to quality work.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
