Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves maintaining and repairing various systems and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality in residential and commercial settings. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and executing repairs in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment using logical problem-solving skills.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs and installations.
- Fabricate parts as needed to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding maintenance needs.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff during projects or repairs as necessary.
- Execute residential painting tasks as part of property upkeep.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in welding techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous but not required.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments.
