Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (G3 Gas Fitter) to join our team in ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of manufacturing facilities like bakery machinery , commercial ovens, and refrigerators. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and experience with various maintenance techniques. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, precision, and efficiency are paramount.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Pay rate: Up to $24 per hour (based on experience)

Location: Vaughan, Ontario

Duties

• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, and technical guidelines and company policies
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial bakery equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, and related machinery
• Install, service, and maintain gas-fired bakery equipment in compliance with safety codes and regulations
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and gas system issues
• Assist with testing and commissioning of newly manufactured equipment
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Follow workplace safety standards and technical guidelines

Qualifications

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and construction practices
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and solid technical background.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to repairs and installations
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience with commercial kitchen, bakery, refrigeration, or other industrial equipment considered an asset.
• Able to confidently read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Holds a valid G3 Gas Fitter License.
• Proven strength in diagnosing issues and resolving problems efficiently.
• Dependable, consistently on time, and interested in a long-term role

This Maintenance Technician role is vital for maintaining operational excellence within our facilities. Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour
