Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team for a split-role position as a Maintenance Technician/Vertical Farm Operator. Your time will be split between helping to operate our hydroponic farm and conducting facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a background in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems and be eager to learn and grow within our organization. This role involves hands-on work with various fresh produce products and the equipment used to produce, package, and distribute them.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of hydroponic, mushroom, and packaging production systems

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and irrigation system issues

- Ensure proper functioning of lighting, pumps, and HVAC systems

- Assist with facility upkeep, including minor repairs and equipment servicing

- Perform other related or assigned tasks.

Vertical Farm Operator Responsibilities:

- Perform seeding, transplanting, and harvesting of herbs and microgreens.

- Prepare growth media, inoculate, transplant, and harvest mushrooms.

- Package and deliver products to customers.

- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, materials, and fruiting rooms used in production.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with the Food Safety Modernization Act.

Other Qualifications:

- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

- Prior experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is preferred, but .

- Experience troubleshooting and fixing basic plumbing and HVAC systems

- Strong problem-solving skills, good physical stamina, and the ability to work independently
