Fantastic comp plan. Realistic year 1 target compensation is $50,000+ at plan. Compensation is based on salary, commission & bonuses.
Responsibilities for the Major Account Representative:
- Locate and develop new business opportunities within a territory for each of the company’s product segments
- Communicate with all current and potential customers on a regular basis and oversee all sales activity within the assigned territory
- Report on all sales activity, via CRM and manage business through that technical platform
- Frequent communication with inside support
- Manage workload and respond to customers in a timely manner, including follow-up contact for potential leads
- Obtain a broad understanding of product segments and their related functional capacities
- Make outbound telemarketing & cold calls to prospective & current customers
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to team goals
- Cold call on businesses to initiate sales conversations
- Identify and target potential business clients
- Build and maintain relationships with clients
- Present and demonstrate products/services
- Negotiate and close sales deals
- Keep accurate records of sales activities and results
- Stay current with industry trends and market conditions
Requirements for the Major Account Representative:
- Possess a college degree or 3-5 years of B2B sales experience
- Competitive, positive attitude
- Ability to negotiate, basic contract negotiation, basic computer skills
- Present a professional image with business acumen
- Strong ability to self-initiate tasks and set goals
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle rejection and persist in sales efforts
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven sales experience in a B2B setting
- Strong negotiation skills
Demands for the Major Account Representative:
- Full-time position, salary plus commission. Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- In-person meetings and prospecting within a defined geography or book of business in the Lima Market and surrounding areas required daily
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to maximize effectiveness
- (This is not a remote position)
