Overview

Account Management is a key role in the Northern Europe Division as we continue to build on our success in the local markets. In this role you will be responsible for our overall relationship with one of our important customers.

Role
You will be responsible for the entire management of one our important customers

You are expected to develop, implement and own the annual and long-term customer strategy that enhances customer profitability, competitive leverage and deliver on the targeted business goals

Your primary focus will be to develop and grow the partnership and at the same time achieve the targeted budget by ensuring an effective collaborative and value driven relationship model

You are expected to build, manage and develop the business relationship with the entire organization of the customer, and manage sale of our extensive products and services offering.

Accountability

Own and develop the annual and long-term planning cycle / process

Contribute to the development and where appropriate own customer growth strategies that proactively develop the commercial card business and optimize mutual profitability.

Successfully manage financial performance by ensuring that all target metrics are met.

Work with the Business Development group to define sales pipeline and help initiate the sales process for agreed payment solutions.

Act as the primary point of contact between Mastercard and the customer by ensuring strategic alignment, collaborative interaction, CRM optimization and maximum mutual success in achieving goals and objectives.

Monitor and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction

Develop as well as manage relationships between internal Mastercard partners including business development, marketing, commerce development, customer delivery, product, Advisors, legal, compliance, security, etc. in order to ensure cross-functional alignment and correct support for the customer.

Understand and leverage best practices across key industry and business benchmarks.

Own relevant contract negotiations with the designated Commercial Card Business at the Bank

All About You

Demonstrated success in commercial management/relationship roles

Demonstrated revenue management and P&L experience

Demonstrated success in customer/sales roles, with specific and demonstrable experience in negotiations/contract management

Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities

Superior interpersonal and communications skills

Self starter, independent operator and highly proactive – does not wait to be directed

Demonstrated success in strategic/conceptual thinking

Strong sales management skills, development and execution experience

Credible and seasoned and ready to manage discussions with management internally and externally.

Experience in identifying strategic opportunities and of managing multiple stakeholder projects.

Preferably strong knowledge of payments and/or financial services environments

Strong working knowledge of strategic account management experience
