Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall daily operations of Building Engineering that includes PSI, PFI and SLA.
- Liaison with clients or ground agencies for on-site inspection works.
- Collaborate with client on new project and prepare cost estimations for tenders or quotations.
- Strategize PSI, PFI, and SLA work schedules, as well as manage manpower and resource allocation.
- Carry out structure inspections to existing building structure or infrastructure to identify defects and repair when required.
- Review, plan and coordinates the operations of a field inspection section and manages inspection projects.
- Provide visionary, leadership and direction within the team.
- Manage quotations processes, filing and follow up on billing payments and invoicing related to Building Inspection.
- Review reports prepared by Engineers/Inspectors/subcontractors, ensuring timely submission within set deadlines.
- Monitor the progress of work for each project and ensure timely submission of progress payment claims to clients on a regular basis.
- Enforce adopted codes and regulations pertaining to building inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Stay updated on new rules, regulations and technical information disseminated through internal communication channels.
- Supervises Building Inspectors/Engineers and Sub-Contractors, including task prioritization, expenses management, leave scheduling, performance evaluations, training and recommendation on hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in project management and inspection processes
- Knowledge of building code and regulations
