Role: Manager, Business Development
Location: Paris, France
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager, Business Development to lead and grow our Business Development team in France. You will be at the forefront of our strategic initiatives, supporting the anticipated growth of our OT, Cloud, SASE, and SecOps business lines in 2025 and beyond. This role will develop and drive a structured approach to managing our BDMs, strengthening our position and expanding our footprint in these critical areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement a robust business plan, maximising revenue potential across OT, Cloud, SASE, and SecOps.
- Partner & Customer Engagement : Establish and deepen relationships with large and medium-sized businesses, delivering high partner/customer satisfaction.
- Market Expansion : Drive significant new business opportunities and partner engagements to cover all market segments effectively.
- Revenue Growth : Achieve and surpass sales targets by structuring innovative and compelling business deals, ensuring long-term revenue growth.
- Collaboration & Alignment : Work closely with in-country teams, including Major Account Managers and Channel Managers, to deliver cohesive and successful sales strategies.
- Cloud Engagement : Map, build, and nurture long-term relationships with public cloud vendors (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Alibaba, etc.) and drive marketplace deals.
- Pipeline Development : Maintain a sustainable pipeline of opportunities, aligning efforts with the overall strategic objectives of Fortinet.
- Market Intelligence : Stay informed about industry trends, including AI, machine learning, container security, and digital transformation strategies.
- Reporting & Forecasting : Provide timely updates on the sales pipeline and performance metrics, leveraging Salesforce and other reporting tools.
- Brand Awareness & Innovation : Elevate our market presence and align our offerings to enable partner/customer innovation, differentiating Fortinet in the market.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven Track Record : At least 10 years of experience selling complex IT solutions in enterprise and mid-market environments, with a channel-driven approach.
- Expertise in Digital Transformation : Solid understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), resilient architectures, and modern business methodologies such as design thinking and agile practices.
- Sales & Technical Acumen : Demonstrated success in closing large deals involving cloud, connectivity, and managed services.
- Innovative Deal Structuring : Ability to craft deals that showcase Fortinet’s strengths and meet customer needs effectively.
- Problem Solving & Negotiation : Strong skills in navigating complex sales environments and influencing decision-makers at the Director level and above.
- Organizational Navigation : Adept at driving results in a complex, fast-paced setting, both internally and externally.
- Relationship Building : Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and influence senior stakeholders.
- Industry Insight : Comprehensive understanding of IT, cybersecurity trends, and emerging technologies like AI and container security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced sales and negotiation skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Fluent in French and English.
