Are you ready to make a difference and support IAG’s mission to create a safer world? We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Consumer Brands team as a Manager of Direct Brands Operations & Governance. This is your chance to be at the forefront of operational excellence and governance, driving growth and ensuring our partnerships thrive.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the operational aspects of our Direct Brands portfolio, including performance reporting, governance, and risk management. Your work will be impactful, as you ensure that all operational risks are mitigated and managed effectively, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
You will be part of an innovative environment where you will develop and implement new service delivery models and partnerships. This role requires a strategic mindset to ensure our commercial interests are protected and our obligations to partners are honoured. Your efforts will help make us the Insurance Partner of Choice in New Zealand, enhancing our reputation and fostering strong relationships with our partners.
Working closely with senior executives, you will support key governance activities and contribute to the development of our frameworks, policies, and systems. This dynamic team environment will provide you with the opportunity to influence strategic decisions and drive significant improvements in our operations.
This is a permanent full-time position with hybrid working conditions, available at any of our IAG offices across Aotearoa - New Zealand, with a preference for those located in Tāmaki Makaurau - Auckland.

Ōu Pūkenga | About You

To be successful in this role you’ll ideally have:
  • 7+ years in the financial services or general insurance industry.
  • Experience in stakeholder management at a senior level, including engaging with third parties.
  • A sound understanding of general insurance, distribution arrangements, and the New Zealand Financial Services regulatory environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Highly skilled in both written and verbal communication.
  • Strong experience and understanding of risk management practices.
  • Skilled at developing strong professional relationships and managing key deliverables through others.
  • Results driven, organised, and a skilled planner.
  • Experience with producing detailed reporting and in governance processes.
