Manager, Finance Business Partnering, Ongoing opportunity based in Sydney CBD, plus hybrid working options available

  • Salary - Clerk Grade 11/12, $154,231 - $178,369+ superannuation and leave loading, commensurate with experience
  • Duration: Permanent full-time role, ongoing
  • Location: Hybrid with an in-office requirement 2 days a week in Sydney, McKell office. This may be subject to change in line with DCS workplace policies

This role will give you the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior executives and be involved in end-to-end financial processes.

What will your day involve?

Lead the preparation of management reporting and analysis of organisation's financial performance to ensure senior leaders can effectively respond to changing circumstances and developments

  • Provide trusted financial leadership and strategic advice to executives, directors and budget holders by analysing and interpreting financial performance, identifying trends and risks, evaluating options and delivering impact assessments that support informed decision-making.
  • Partner with executives and directors to drive strategic and financial outcomes, identifying resourcing challenges, funding pressures and savings opportunities and developing effective strategies and solutions to achieve organisational targets and business objectives.
  • Lead management meetings and participate actively in steering committee meetings by presenting comprehensive project related financial performance and insightson a regular basis with divisional leaders by conducting regular monthly finance health checks.
  • Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and excellence to consistently deliver high-quality financial services and business outcomes.

What are we looking for in our ideal candidate?

  • Exceptional finance business partnering capability, with a proven ability to influence and advise senior executives, lead complex budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, and translate financial insights into strategic business outcomes.
  • Extensive experience leading end-to-end budget development and management, working closely with Treasury, FP&A and operational stakeholders to optimise resource allocation, manage funding and savings targets, and support sound financial decision-making.

Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $154231 base plus superannuation
