Gold Standard Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Finance team. This role is pivotal in driving the financial strategy and operational excellence of our organization. The Manager, FP&A will oversee the budget process, monitor financial performance, and ensure accurate and timely reporting. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Finance.

It was established in 2003 by WWF and other international NGOs as a best practice standard to ensure projects that reduced carbon emissions under the UN’s Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) also delivered sustainable development benefits. Today, our standard, ‘Gold Standard for the Global Goals’, allows climate and development initiatives within carbon markets, corporate supply chains, and sustainable finance to manage, measure and maximise their impacts toward the Net Zero ambition of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:


  • Developing and managing the annual financial planning process, including long-term financial modelling.
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating budget assumptions to reflect changes in business conditions.
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on budget variances and performance metrics.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
  • Must have proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and budget management. Experience working within a non-profit will be a beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Only candidates that are based in Switzerland or the United Kingdom will be considered for this role.
