Why this role matters

Our Vincents Forensic Commercial team are known as experts in their field and this role will give you exposure to a wide variety of interesting and challenging work. We are one of Australia’s longest established and largest dedicated forensic accounting and forensic technology teams. We are looking for a manager who has well defined experience in business analysis and understanding the drivers behind a business' operations. Business valuation experience would be highly regarded.

Description:
What you’ll do

Lead and deliver business valuations and economic loss assessments across matters including family law and commercial litigation.

Analyse financial and statutory documents to understand business performance, risks and complex entity structures.

Prepare detailed expert reports for Court and critically review opposing experts’ opinions.

Investigate asset ownership, non-financial performance drivers and commercial risk factors impacting engagements.

Manage client relationships, proactively communicating updates on scope, timeframes and fees.

Delegate, review and provide feedback on work completed by junior team members.

Contribute to practice development through building and maintaining professional networks, internal process improvements, training initiatives and technical knowledge sharing.

What you’ll bring

A degree in Accounting, Business, or Commerce with CA or CPA qualification.

Completion or commencement of the CAANZ Business Valuation Specialisation and / or Forensic Accounting Specialisation (or equivalent would be an advantage)

6+ years of experience in a professional business analysis / data analytics role within Australia. Prior forensic accounting experience would be highly regarded.

Strong analytical capability with the ability to assess complex financial information and form well-reasoned opinions.

Advanced report writing skills and the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Commercial acumen and sound judgement which assist in readily evaluating business risk and performance drivers.

Proven ability to manage competing deadlines, workflow and productivity targets.

A proactive, inquisitive mindset with a genuine desire to learn, mentor others and grow your technical expertise.
