We are seeking an experienced, values-driven and motivated leader to manage our Individual and Family Counselling services across Tasmania.
This leadership role provides strategic and operational oversight of counselling services supporting individuals, children, young people and families experiencing relationship distress, life transitions, trauma, conflict, and mental health and wellbeing challenges.
As a member of the RA Tas Management Team, you will work closely with the Executive and fellow Managers to deliver high-quality, safe, evidence-based and culturally responsive services that meet community need, funding requirements and organisational priorities.
In this role, you will lead accessible, client-centred and trauma-informed counselling services underpinned by strong clinical governance, ethical practice and effective risk management. You will support and supervise a multidisciplinary workforce, fostering a culture of learning, wellbeing and professional excellence, while overseeing performance and reporting requirements. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will contribute to strategic planning, service development and funding opportunities, build strong partnerships with funding bodies, sector partners and communities, and fulfil senior safeguarding responsibilities to promote child-safe, inclusive and respectful workplaces.
Do you fit the bill
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Management or a related discipline
- Extensive experience leading similar services in a community or human services context
- Demonstrated leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong knowledge of contemporary practice frameworks, clinical governance and ethical practice
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other managers to support the day-to-day functioning of share services.
- Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills
- A genuine commitment to the vision, mission and values of Relationships Australia Tasmania

- Salary starting from $121,740 – $128,252 + Super / *Pro-rata
