Introduction:
Wonderful opportunity for an experienced AOD Leader looking for a hands-on role managing the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 AOD Rehabilitation Facility.
SCHADS Level 6 with Salary packaging options to enhance your take-home income.
Located 10 minutes from Pakenham on a 40-acre property with beautiful, serene landscapes
Full-time, permanent position working approx. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Directly accountable to the Head of Residential Services, the Manager Maryknoll Therapeutic Community is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Therapeutic Community and will provide clinical expertise, supervision and support to the staff and residents, including the creation and maintenance of appropriate systems and processes to facilitate programmatic operation.

This role will ensure staffing coverage is maintained across all shifts and ensure the site has capacity to support clients and operate a safe quality service to all clients.

Manage the day-to-day operational processes and the development and ongoing review of systems and processes that ensure effective program delivery.
Ensure that program planning and delivery focus on the needs of clients, using evidence and data to guide decision making.
Contribute to organisation consideration of care planning and ensure service delivery is evidence based, and outcomes focussed.
Lead considerations and implementation of Trauma informed practice that is centred in each individuals’ care.
Manage and align the goals of multiple specialised teams within a program or area, optimising their collective efforts to achieve program-level targets.
Develop and oversees team-level recruitment and onboarding strategies, ensuring they select and onboard capable and diverse talent, in line with the program and organisational goals.
Support staff within their performance across domains including clinical practice, professional conduct and professional development including ensuring supervision and annual performance review and development plans are undertaken with all staff.
Manage rostering and ensure accurate recording of staff hours worked and prepare timekeeping for each pay period.
Exemplify innovative thinking and change management practice across the team to drive quality service delivery.
Oversees the allocation of resources and budgets across their team or specialised area, optimising resource utilisation to achieve area or program-level objectives.
Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained and reviewed according to demand and staff capacity is developed to the maximum of their scope of practice.
Lead, develop and demonstrate approaches to conflict resolution and ethics, and ensure their implementation at the site level.
Proactively foster a team culture that is inclusive and safe for all; promote safety and wellbeing as a priority within the team.
Create and sustain productive relationships with key stakeholders across the sector and collaborates with them to drive positive systemic change.

What we're looking for

Experience managing, supervising and leading teams to achieve strategic and operational outcomes, with an understanding on effective staff management strategies and practices.
High level of interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills both with an ability to communicate effectively to diverse group of people with complex needs with compassion.
Excellent time management skills with an ability to adapt and reprioritise as required based on the needs of the program and residents.
Advanced therapeutic skills with extensive knowledge experience in the drug and alcohol service system, including trauma-informed care and knowledge of principles of harm minimisation relating to illicit drug use.
Tertiary Qualifications in Health Science, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology or similar Qualifications in AOD and/or mental health.
Certificate IV in AOD or 4 AOD core competencies.
Ideally previous experience working within a Therapeutic Community or residential setting
