Introduction:
Relationships Australia Tasmania (RA Tas) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation firmly committed to helping people and communities thrive. We deliver a variety of programmes to assist individuals and families.

Description:
Our culture is the foundation upon which everything else is built. That’s why we invest in building an environment where our people feel supported and motivated to help make our vision a reality. We believe that a collective effort that draws upon the diverse strengths of all staff create the best results.

The diverse background and perspectives of our staff, the people we support, and our inclusive and collaborative culture are the keys to our success.

We are seeking an experienced, values-driven and motivated leader to manage our Separation and Support Services across Tasmania.

This leadership role provides strategic and operational oversight of specialist services supporting individuals, parents and families who are separated, separating or experiencing post-separation conflict. Services focus on reducing conflict, strengthening safety, supporting effective co-parenting and promoting arrangements that prioritise the wellbeing of children.

As a member of the RA Tas Management Team, you will work closely with the Executive and fellow Managers to deliver high-quality, safe, child-focused and evidence-informed services that respond to complex family needs, meet funding requirements and support organisational priorities.

In this role, you will lead accessible, inclusive and family-centred services including family dispute resolution, mediation, children’s contact services and associated counselling and education programs. You will ensure strong clinical and practice governance, including effective risk screening, ethical decision-making and quality assurance, particularly in matters involving family violence, high conflict and child safety concerns.

You will support and supervise a multidisciplinary workforce, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development and reflective practice while overseeing service performance and reporting requirements.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will contribute to strategic planning, service integration and funding opportunities, build strong partnerships with legal, community and government stakeholders, and fulfil senior safeguarding responsibilities to promote child-safe, inclusive and respectful workplaces.

Do you fit the bill?
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience within community or human services environments
  • Strong knowledge of child-focused, family-centred and conflict-informed practice frameworks
  • Experience leading services involving family dispute resolution, mediation or related family law services
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other managers to support the day-to-day functioning of shared services
  • Highly developed communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Tertiary qualification and extensive experience in a relevant discipline and/or a combination of experience, expertise and competence to perform the role.
Postgraduate qualifications and knowledge of the Australian family law and post-separation service systems will be highly regarded.

Benefits

  • Salary starting from *$121,740 – $128,252 + Super / Pro-rata
  • Additional PAID leave days (up to 6 per year!)
  • Up to 4 weeks extra leave per year through our purchased leave scheme
  • Salary packaging options (up to $18,550 TAX FREE each FB year)
  • Paid primary and secondary parental leave available after 12 months of ongoing employment
  • Discounted corporate health insurance
  • Employer supported study leave

  • Reproductive health leave
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Access to confidential counselling and support services
