Manager, Student Services Non-Credit & Non-Credit System Administrator

Reporting to the Director, the Manager and System Administrator for Student Services (non-credit) is responsible for establishing, leading, and managing an efficient and effective administrative and technical support system for the teaching, learning and customer service functions. The incumbent will also be a member of the CCE Management Team, participate in Strategic Planning, and contribute to the Non-Credit System Team.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the CCE non-credit system, which includes management of student, instructor, alumni, financial, data, scheduling/facility, and administrative functions.
- Ensure that the Student Services unit is trained and complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, and the University of Regina Information Security Awareness training.
- Address budgetary and financial issues, communicating solutions as appropriate.
- Monitor and prepare for midyear reports and budget forecasts for student services.
- Recommend and develop policies and procedures.
- Oversee the Human Resource Management, including recruitment, hiring, orientation, coaching and training, performance reviews and retention.
- In collaboration with other CCE units, develop and implement customer service strategies to ensure a positive experience for students, instructors, and alumni.
- Provide recommendations and direction to CCE units regarding operations and policy.

- Undergraduate degree (specializing in Human Resources or Administration)
- 5-7 years of administration work experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and work collaboratively with others.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and monitor operating budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, select, train, retain, coach and evaluate employees.
- Strong strategic planning skills to assist in development of the unit’s goals and commitments is required.
- Requires the ability to develop, initiate, organize and coordinate projects.
- Knowledge of U of R and CCE policies, programs and initiatives is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge with the non-credit system which is used for non-credit registration, financial management (payments and refunds), course scheduling, facility booking, reporting and administration or a similar complex database is required.
- Knowledge of point of sale system, cash registers, and debit/credit card machines is required.
- Knowledge of multiple systems required to complete the responsibilities which includes Banner, FAST, HR Workflow, or similar complex database experience is required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication required.
- Attention to detail is essential.
