Responsibilities
Manages performance consulting staff with appropriate human resources practices, and provides management oversight and leadership for all staff and consulting and analytics within the Unit. Establishes tactics based on overall Supply Chain and customer strategies and is responsible for customer service to key departments, Supply Chain Management and other requestors as it relates to Mayo SCM activities including a solid understanding of best practices, innovations, trends in the industry, to include cross-industry disciplines (e.g., SCM, analytic, strategic, etc.). Maintains abreast of leading edge concepts, best practices, and innovation in SCM. Works closely with senior level administrative and clinical leaders in specific divisions/departments including institutional initiatives to provide industry vision and strategic direction for Mayo in SCM excellence. Aggressively monitor industry trends to anticipate department's future needs and develop leading-edge approaches and recommendations. Develops, implements, and maintains programs and tools for financial reporting for complex activities. Interprets and implements accounting rules, fiscal compliance, policies and regulations. Proactively identifies opportunities and recommends options for increasing financial margins, while preserving Mayo standards and minimizing the financial and legal risks to Mayo. Conducts research and analysis, benchmarking, and audits to ensure reasonableness and accuracy of information. Responsible for project management of assigned department or clinical areas. Provides leadership in a team environment supporting complex, ambiguous and highly visible multidisciplinary activities or projects, task forces and institutional committees. Mentors, coaches, trains and assists in decision making for the work unit.
This position is part of a dynamic, cross-functional team delivering direct financial services to customers. The role emphasizes financial planning and analysis and works in close partnership with existing finance and accounting manager. The individual in this role must be highly independent, self-motivated, technically proficient, and possess strong leadership who thrives at the intersection of financial strategy, customer engagement, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver customer-facing financial services with a focus on strategic planning and analysis.
- Proactively monitors financial KPIs and coordination with the expense management team
- Business modeling scenario analysis for leadership
- Presents regularly to existing customers, prospective customers, and internal leadership.
- Operate within a business in its growth phase, requiring high levels of independence, initiative, and technical proficiency.
- Collaborate with team members across operations, business development, finance, and accounting to drive service excellence.
- Develop and utilize automation and technology tools to enhance service delivery and work efficiency, including creating tools as needed.
- Serve as backup for accounting function, as needed

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. Minimum of eight (8) years' experience with increasing responsibilities in health care, finance, accounting, business, or systems; which includes a minimum of 5 years progressive management experience in healthcare supply chain management, healthcare operations, finance or related field. Experience in leading cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams. Advanced degree in business administration, healthcare management , finance, or related field. Masters prepared is preferred. Knowledge of DRG, CPT and ICD-9 coding and medical terminology preferred. Highly developed understanding of accounting and finance practices. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong investigational skills, shows attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Solid customer-service skills; understands and addresses customer needs in a timely manner. Ability to work in a team environment and develop constructive working relationships with others. Experience should encompass all aspects of SCM, with a focus on developing and implementing innovative strategies designed to reduce SCM expenses and/or enhance revenue.
Preferred additional Licensure: Lean and Six Sigma ASQ Certification, AHRMM CMRP, PMP, or other SCM or related industry certifications preferred. Mayo Quality Fellows Silver and Gold Certification preferred
Additional Qualifications:
- Degree in business, supply chain, finance or accounting and previous work experience in the field of finance or accounting
- Advanced technology proficiency with a demonstrated ability—and desire—to continuously expand technical capabilities in support of operational excellence and strategic financial leadership.
- Preferred experience in with ability to write queries such as SQL, Python, advanced Excel functions, and Tableau development with desire to grow the skill set.
- Utilize experience to make data-driven decision-making and automation.
- Experience communicating with leadership teams such as senior leadership, board-level stakeholders, as well as delivering training across varying organizational levels.
- Background in for-profit entities, with a clear understanding of commercial drivers, customer-centric financial strategies, and performance-based metrics.
- Preferred experience in startup or high-growth environments, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, build scalable processes, and contribute to the development of new service models.
