Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef & Manager to join our team at Clean Catch Fish Market, a premier destination for the freshest seafood in Charlotte, NC. This unique role combines culinary expertise with operational leadership in a market setting, offering an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of creating exceptional seafood products for our customers.

As a Chef & Manager, you’ll play a vital role in crafting and overseeing the preparation of premium seafood dishes and products, ensuring that every offering meets our unparalleled standards of quality and taste. Working alongside other talented Chefs, you’ll lead preparation and creation of prepared foods, including gourmet sauces, marinades, crab cakes, poke bowls, and more. Your creativity and expertise will directly contribute to the exceptional culinary experiences our customers enjoy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Leadership: Take the lead in preparing scratch-made, seafood-focused dishes and products that showcase the freshest ingredients and innovative flavors. Maintain consistency and exceptional quality across all items.
  • Product Innovation: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new offerings, including seasonal items, ready-to-cook seafood, and chef-inspired prepared foods that excite and delight our customers.
  • Team Management: Supervise and support kitchen staff in daily operations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling team members to meet the demands of our market.
  • Market Operations: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless collaboration between the kitchen and retail areas. Assist with inventory management, supplier coordination, and waste reduction.
  • Customer Engagement: Share your seafood expertise with customers, offering tips and recommendations on how to prepare and enjoy the products they purchase.
  • Compliance & Efficiency: Ensure all food preparation processes comply with health and safety regulations. Maintain an organized and efficient workspace in alignment with Clean Catch’s high standards.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
