Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Managing Director Business Operations to oversee the daily business activities and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving efficiency, optimizing performance, and ensuring smooth execution of business processes across departments. This role requires a leader with strong business acumen, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to implement innovative solutions for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, innovation, and profitability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape company direction and policies.
2. Operational Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring seamless execution.
- Implement best practices for process optimization and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and adherence to company policies.
3. Financial Oversight & Budgeting
- Manage operational budgets, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Analyze financial performance metrics to improve profitability and sustainability.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
4. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and track KPIs to measure operational performance.
- Analyze data and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
5. People & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Work closely with HR to recruit, train, and retain top talent.
6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with suppliers, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure strong supply chain management.
- Collaborate with clients and customers to enhance service delivery.
7. Technology & Digital Transformation
- Leverage technology to drive operational efficiency and automation.
- Implement modern systems and tools to improve workflows.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in optimizing business processes and driving growth.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Financial acumen and budget management expertise.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to lead change and drive digital transformation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Hungarian is a plus).
