Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Swords

A dynamic and innovative company is looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support a variety of manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and at least 3 years' experience in a medium to high-volume Mechanical/Electronic production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and improve existing manufacturing processes for current products
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes for new or upgraded products
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and upkeep of mechanical/electrical assembly jigs, fixtures, and custom test equipment
  • Perform process analysis and produce reports on product quality
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance quality standards and promote continuous improvements
  • Partner with product designers to ensure product designs are optimized for efficient assembly

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong technical foundation with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a medium to high-volume Mechanical/Electronic manufacturing setting
  • A degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a closely related field
  • Solid experience in applying problem-solving techniques
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Practical, hands-on engineering skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software
  • Knowledge of six sigma principles and tools
  • Hands-on experience with lathe, milling machines, and other workshop tools
  • Experience designing and implementing assembly fixtures

Job Type:

  • Full-Time, Permanent Position

Education Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
