Overview

Roy Tech Environ Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Manufacturing Laborer with experience operating a forklift to join our production team. As a U.S.-based plastics recycling and pelletizing company, Roy Tech processes post-consumer and post-industrial plastics into high-quality recycled plastic pellets used in manufacturing applications across North America and international markets.

The Manufacturing Laborer will support daily recycling and production operations by safely operating forklifts, moving materials, assisting with processing activities, maintaining production efficiency, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, forklift operating experience, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts to transport, load, unload, and stage raw materials, finished products, and production supplies
  • Move plastic bales, boxes, Gaylords, pallets, and finished pellet materials throughout the facility
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues or safety concerns
  • Assist production teams with sorting, inspecting, and preparing recyclable plastic materials for processing
  • Support material handling operations for shredding, grinding, washing, drying, and pelletizing processes
  • Load and unload trailers while following proper material-handling procedures
  • Monitor production areas and assist operators with basic production tasks as needed
  • Maintain proper housekeeping standards around machinery, work areas, and material storage locations
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout awareness, and safe equipment operation practices
  • Identify and communicate quality concerns, contamination issues, or material defects
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production, quality, and safety goals

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, recycling, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
  • Previous forklift operating experience required
  • Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift (propane or electric preferred)
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain awareness around moving equipment and machinery
  • Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Willingness to work in a production environment with noise, dust, temperature variations, and industrial equipment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required (up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance/equipment)
  • Ability to safely work around industrial machinery, forklifts, conveyors, and processing equipment
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and safety footwear
