Job Description


We have a new opportunity for an Marine Personnel Executive to join Northern Marine Manning Services based in Mumbai.


Reporting to:
Marine Personnel Manager

Location: India, Mumbai


Overview:

As a Marine Personnel Executive, you will support the wider Personnel team in ensuring the effective and compliant manning of both crew and technically managed vessels. This role plays an important part in coordinating crew administration, supporting seafarer training and documentation processes, and ensuring smooth communication between the office and seafarers. You will also contribute to maintaining accurate records and assisting with logistics to ensure efficient crew mobilisation.


Required skill set and experience:

  • Produce reports and statistics to support personnel activities such as appraisals, debriefs and other crewing functions
  • Maintain and update crew records and certification documentation within COMPAS
  • Provide administrative support relating to seafarer training, development and competency records
  • Coordinate pre-employment medicals and statutory documentation requirements for seafarers
  • Communicate with seafarers regarding embarkation and disembarkation arrangements
  • Assist with travel arrangements including flights, visas and accommodation bookings
  • Maintain accurate crew records including crew lists, contact details and medical information
  • Respond to seafarer queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain a basic understanding of maritime regulatory frameworks including International Safety Management Code, STCW Convention and Maritime Labour Convention 2006

Office attendance and Working Hours:

  • The business operates a 5 day per week in office presence, with the ability to utilise hybrid working, after the probation period, up to twice a week, in line with business needs.
  • Standard working hours are inline with UK working times
  • On-call requirement on a rota basis
