Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a dynamic senior Market Sector Lead Industrial Manufacturing & Technology - Germany and Europe (f/m/d) to drive strategic growth across our sector, developing and executing sales strategies that expand client relationships and deliver sustainable revenue. The successful candidate will inspire multidisciplinary teams, lead key client engagement, and champion innovation and data-driven solutions to solve complex client challenges. This role requires a commercially minded, outcomes-focused leader who models Arcadis’ values of inclusion, accountability, and sustainability.
Role accountabilities:
- Delivers on the Net Order Intake target
- Owns the vital role of the development, implementation and adjustment of the Sales strategy for the sector in order to drive Organic Net Revenue Growth, and allocate the right resources to win after key clients and opportunities for growth.
- Sets a clear and aspirational vision for growth and service excellence.
- Builds Arcadis representation in the market for the given Sector (e.g., attending industry events or client forums, etc.)
- Cultivates enduring relationships built on trust, reliability, and partnership.
- Deeply understands client needs, challenges, and aspirations, developing tailored solutions that create meaningful value.
- Leverages the Arcadis Brand and Arcadis Services to exceed expectations. Driving Client satisfaction is the key objective.
- Proactive Communication: Ensures seamless collaboration and transparency in every interaction.
- Applies best practices and emerging trends within Sector to drive thought leadership.
- Drives the use of technology for Client Delivery based on deep understanding of the client business and commitments.
- Diversity of propositions to clients across their value chain - 60-40 split between Capex and Opex.
- Deliver year over year CAGR Growth, in alignment with the market share set by the business. This is measured through the annual target setting and business performance reviews.
- Work with Sales & Marketing Engine to prioritize bids and pursuits, especially those strategically aligned for growth.
- Act as a visible steward of health and safety
- Ensure that employee experience and tenure Arcadis is an employer of choice (e.g., diversity, inclusivity, equality, employee satisfaction, retention)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful sales strategies to grow client accounts profitably.
- Significant leadership experience with the ability to inspire and align multi-disciplinary teams around common goals.
- Demonstrated senior sales leadership presence within the relevant country sector.
- Ambitious and driven mindset focused on business growth and target achievement.
- Ability to motivate and energize Account and Pursuit Leaders to perform at their best.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with strategic focus, strong commercial acumen, and decisiveness.
- Relevant professional experience in at least three of these areas:
- International and cross-industry experience managing complex projects across organizational boundaries.
- Driving innovation through new business models, client engagement, and ecosystem partnerships.
- Leading transformation and change management, fostering stability during uncertain times.
- Managing mergers, acquisitions, divestments, or business turnarounds.
- General management including P&L responsibility, strategy development, and KPI-driven accountability.
- Data-driven decision making and technology adoption.
- Building and managing high-performing teams, focused on employee wellbeing and engagement.
- Talent mobilization and development across markets.
- Commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and social initiatives.
- Strong alignment with Arcadis Leadership Model emphasizing inclusion, accountability, human-centricity, and sustainability.
- High learning agility combined with curiosity, success orientation, and passion ignition.
- Global, strategic, future-focused mindset with digital savviness and innovative thinking.
