Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description (Overview):
We are seeking a creative and results-oriented Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support our brand growth. This role focuses on driving increased sales, growing brand awareness, and building a strong online and offline presence. Reporting to the Executive Team, the ideal candidate will execute strategies and create content that directly impacts the profitability and visibility of Farming Karma’s products while upholding our brand values.
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in executing Farming Karma’s marketing strategies, managing content across platforms, and ensuring that marketing activities drive sales and meet key performance indicators (KPIs). This position requires creativity, excellent communication skills, and a focus on measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Media Management
- Manage a content calendar across all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) to drive audience engagement and brand awareness.
- Create and edit high-quality photos, videos, and graphics showcasing Farming Karma’s products, people, and values.
- Update the company website with fresh content, including new products, promotions, and events, ensuring alignment with marketing goals.
- Write engaging blog articles, newsletters, and press releases to maintain consistent communication with our audience.
- Optimize content to drive website traffic and increase product visibility online.
Marketing Support and Campaign Execution
- Assist in implementing marketing campaigns that align with business goals, focusing on increasing sales and profitability.
- Collaborate with marketing partners and vendors to create effective promotional materials and strategies.
- Conduct market research to better understand target audiences and improve campaign effectiveness.
- Track campaign performance and make recommendations to improve future initiatives.
Event and Community Engagement
- Attend events to represent Farming Karma and create real-time content for social media.
- Assist in planning tours, events, and promotional activities to increase brand exposure.
- Build relationships with community partners to expand reach and support local engagement initiatives.
Graphic Design and Creative Collaboration
- Design marketing materials, presentations, posters, and graphics using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other digital tools.
- Ensure all materials are consistent with the Farming Karma brand and messaging.
- Support leadership with digital content and presentations for internal and external use.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field OR equivalent experience (2+ years in a similar role).
- Proven experience managing social media accounts and creating digital content for a business.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to marketing efforts that drive sales and brand growth.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow direction and collaborate effectively with the leadership team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong writing and editing skills for various communication formats.
- Basic understanding of SEO and digital analytics to track performance and optimize content.
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and at least 19 years old.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours for events or deadlines.
- A portfolio showcasing creative content (photos, videos, graphics) is required.
