Introduction:
Join the team behind one of Australia's leading convention and exhibition centres.

As a Marketing Co-ordinator, you'll be an integral part of a small, dynamic team that covers all aspects of marketing and communications for GCCEC, from creating internal collateral through to managing external content across multiple channels. This is a 4-month fixed-term, full-time opportunity and a fantastic way to kick start your career in marketing, gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of channels and disciplines in a world-class venue environment.

Description:
THE ROLE

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Creating, editing and scheduling social media content across platforms, including copy, assets and posting
  • Managing the social media calendar, ensuring content is scheduled at least two weeks ahead and aligned with content campaigns and events
  • Updating and maintaining website content
  • Planning, creating and sending monthly newsletters, event listings and artwork in line with the content calendar
  • Preparing weekly activity summaries and a monthly performance snapshot
  • Assisting with basic asset creation in Canva or similar tools, and escalating design requests when needed
ABOUT YOU
You're a creative and organised communicator who takes pride in producing polished content and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You'll bring:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and confidence writing concise copy
  • Strong computer literacy, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Sound knowledge of current social media platforms, marketing and communication trends
  • Experience managing content posting schedules and familiarity with social media scheduling tools such as Loomly
  • Experience with content management systems such as WordPress, and CRM tools
  • Experience with email marketing platforms
  • Design experience, including basic skills in Canva or Adobe
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively while maintaining a calm and efficient approach
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well unsupervised
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a positive disposition
