Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team. Working closely with management and the sales team, you will support brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation, and business growth through digital marketing, communications, content creation, and event coordination.

This role will primarily support Avonbank and may periodically provide marketing assistance to affiliated businesses as required.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

• Develop and manage social media content, website updates, email campaigns, and digital marketing initiatives.
• Create engaging graphics, photography, video content, brochures, advertisements, and promotional materials.
• Maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels and communications.
• Assist with customer communications, newsletters, success stories, testimonials, and case studies.
• Capture and organize on-farm photography and video content for marketing purposes.
• Track marketing performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

Events & Customer Engagement

• Coordinate trade shows, open houses, customer appreciation events, and industry functions.
• Manage event logistics, promotional materials, registrations, and event communications.
• Represent Avonbank at industry events and support customer and partner engagement activities.

Marketing Administration & Business Support

• Support lead generation initiatives, CRM management, and sales campaigns.
• Conduct market research and monitor industry trends and competitor activity.
• Coordinate vendor marketing programs, budgets, invoices, and promotional inventory.
• Work with vendors and industry partners to maximize available marketing opportunities and funding programs.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of marketing, communications, content creation, or related experience.
• Agricultural and/or dairy industry experience is considered an asset but is not required.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Canva, Meta Business Suite, photography, video editing software, Google Analytics, CRM systems, and social media platforms.
• Experience with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar systems.
• Strong written communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of the dairy and/or agricultural industry is an asset.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

Additional Requirements

• Occasional evening and weekend attendance at customer events, trade shows, and industry functions may be required.
• Occasional travel throughout Avonbank's service area will be required.
• Ability to work in both office and farm environments when creating content or attending events.
