Marketing Executive

Position Overview:
The Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing strategies to promote our truck and van products, services, and dealership brand. This role requires a hands-on marketeer who can execute campaigns, analyse their effectiveness, and drive customer engagement across multiple channels. Ideally the candidate should have experience in automotive marketing or related industries; however, it’s not essential. You will need to possess a strong understanding of both digital and traditional marketing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales and Marketing to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and sales growth.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities within the commercial vehicle industry.
  • Assist in developing and managing marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution of campaigns.
  • Design and work on internal marketing, publications and campaigns to help keep all team colleagues throughout the JDS group updated on exciting developments, promotions and compelling colleague engagement.

Digital Marketing

  • Manage the dealership’s online presence, including website updates, SEO optimization, and social media management (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Plan and execute paid digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.) to generate leads and drive traffic.
  • Utilize analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.) to monitor performance and optimize digital marketing efforts.

Content Creation & Management

  • Create engaging content for various platforms, including blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, social media posts, and dealership promotions.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials such as brochures, banners, and promotional videos, working with external agencies where needed.
  • Maintain consistency in brand messaging and tone across all marketing communications.

Event Management

  • Plan and coordinate dealership events, trade shows, and community engagement activities to increase brand visibility and customer interaction.
  • Work with the sales and service teams to ensure seamless execution of customer-focused events.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

  • Manage and optimize CRM campaigns to nurture leads, enhance customer loyalty, and drive repeat business.
  • Develop email marketing strategies to promote sales, aftersales services, and dealership promotions.

Collaborative Efforts

  • Work closely with the sales team to align marketing activities with sales targets and dealership goals.
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers, advertising agencies, and partners to enhance marketing efforts and brand exposure.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Regularly monitor and assess customer feedback, market conditions, and KPIs to ensure marketing activities are delivering expected results.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ideally with a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in the automotive, truck, or commercial vehicle sector.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital and traditional methods.
  • Experience with social media management and paid advertising.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools such as Google Analytics, CRM software, and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure and interpret marketing performance data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
