Marketing Manager, Business Marketing - 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

This role is a 12-month maternity leave cover which sits within CommBank’s Marketing and Corporate Affairs division.

As a member of the Business and Institutional Marketing team, you will be a core partner to the Institutional Banking and Markets business who support our customers to manage and grow their businesses by providing market-leading solutions and services. Through an intimate understanding of our corporate and institutional customers, in collaboration with our stakeholders and leveraging our agency partners, we deliver world class marketing initiatives that increase the awareness and relevance of the CommBank business brand.

You will report into the Executive Manager (Chapter Lead), Business Marketing

As Marketing Manager, you are primarily responsible for leading marketing programs focused on the Institutional Banking segment both domestically and internationally. A core focus of the role is to drive reputation and consideration amongst Australia’s largest organisations including ASX 200 and government customers, and to create meaningful opportunities for bankers to have engage with customers through content, industry partnerships and events. It is a great opportunity for those that are passionate about how we are building leadership in Sustainability and supporting our customers as they transition to Net Zero – as you will also help to drive outcomes for our ESG marketing program including the next Momentum Sustainability Conference.

Given the nature of these ASX relationship managed clients, thought leadership and events do play an important role in the marketing mix and as such, a background or interest in events and content marketing would be highly regarded. As a member of the broader Business Marketing team, you will also have the opportunity to work on projects across all our business and institutional segments. This role is for you if you are passionate about business to business (B2B) marketing.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Experience in marketing, marketing communications role with experience in B2B financial services marketing preferred.

• Executional experience across multi-channel campaigns.

• Experience of content-based and relationship-managed client marketing.

• Experience or keen interest in event management.

• Understanding of key industry trends including sustainability

• A solid understanding of corporate business dynamics, C-Suite networks and corporate sponsorships.

• Understanding of Client Segmentation analysis and drawing insight from analysis.

• Ability to deliver superior outcomes under tight deadlines.

• Project management skills; ability to build project plans to deliver to time, budget and objectives.

• Previous experience working with creative agencies, external partnerships and relationship management/executive teams.

• Degree in Marketing or related discipline preferred
