Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mason/Tuckpointer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality masonry and tuckpointing work that enhances the durability and aesthetic appeal of various structures. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and renovation projects, ensuring safety, precision, and craftsmanship at every stage. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in masonry and related construction disciplines.

Duties

  • Perform tuckpointing by removing old mortar and replacing it with fresh mortar to restore brickwork integrity and appearance.
  • Execute concrete finishing techniques such as smoothing, troweling, and sealing to achieve a polished surface.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and efficiently on construction sites.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately interpret project requirements.
  • Support renovation projects by restoring existing structures through masonry work and restoration techniques.
  • Must be willing to work at heights.

Experience

  • Proven construction site experience with a focus on masonry or related trades such as carpentry or renovation work.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and scaffolding setup.
  • Experience in restoration or renovation projects that require precision masonry skills is a plus.
