In your new role you will:
- Gain a deep understanding for one sensing principle suitable for tactile sensing and collecting requirements for robotic grippers
- Design a working prototype and integrate it into a robotic system (mechanical, electrical, and software integration)
- Evaluate the performance of the system against a set of requirements defined by the application
- Document the results by writing and submitting a master thesis
This thesis has to be written in cooperation with an university.

Duration: min. 9 months
You successfully meet the requirements, if you are a motivated and committed master student from the field of Electronics , Mechatronics , Robotics , Systems Engineering or similar. You are best equipped for this task if you additionally offer:
- A strong ambition for sensing , robotics and making things work
- All completed exams
- Some knowledge and experience in PCB design , electronics prototyping and embedded programming
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Fluency in English, German is advantageous
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf).
