Student thesis proposal

One of Xylem's new product categories is Flygt's dewatering pumps controlled by VFD.
Dewatering pumps are used in various environments by various users. This results in needs in various SW to develop and maintain.

The master thesis aims to develop a principal SW that have the potential to be the single one for all pumps. The idea is to use the strong affinity laws connected to centrifugal pumps which is believed to be able as the foundation of the universal SW, but pumps are subjected to differences and changes is in operating conditions that introduced uncertainties that must be handled.
The master thesis offers great room for creative solutions that have real-world connection. The ideas will also be directly tested on actual pump during the developing in our R&D lab.

We are searching for one or two Master program student with high interest of embedded SW.

Familiarity with software version control systems (like git). The work has, in greater extent, to be carried out on site at Xylem's office in Sundbyberg. The time period is flexible, but preferably during spring 2025.
