Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for issuing materials, receiving orders, conducting inspections on metal sheets, and operating forklifts to transport materials throughout the facility. The role demands a keen attention to detail, excellent computer and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Handling & Issuing: Efficiently issue and track materials to various departments based on production needs, ensuring accurate inventory management.
• Receiving & Inspection: Receive incoming orders, verify material accuracy, and perform detailed inspections on metal sheets for quality control. Report any discrepancies or defects immediately.
• Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials and products to and from designated storage areas.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available when needed and stocked in an organized manner.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory levels, and inspections. Utilize computer systems for inventory tracking and reporting.
• Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless material flow and support production requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling materials and operating equipment, ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in materials handling and warehouse operations
• Proficiency in operating forklifts
• Strong knowledge of safety practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 49 per week
