Overview
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Material Handler to join our fast-paced warehouse team. This role is essential to maintaining smooth and accurate movement of goods within our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for shipping and receiving products, managing inventory, and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately. The ideal individual will bring prior warehouse experience and a solid understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to load and unload shipments.
- Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage order fulfillment.
- Perform all shipping and receiving functions, including verifying and inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy or damage.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Keep the warehouse organized by restocking shelves and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Use RF scanners to record and track the movement of inventory with precision.
- Work closely with team members to maintain efficient workflow in the shipping/receiving area.
- Assist with e-commerce order processing, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Perform basic math to verify quantities during picking, packing, and receiving.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred (training will be provided).
- Ability to operate powered lift equipment; Raymond Reach Truck certification required.
- Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and warehousing processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment, including shift changes and product variability.
- Strong interpersonal skills with tact and professionalism when dealing with internal teams or customer service issues.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Able to work under moderate pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A strong team player who can effectively work with colleagues at all levels.
