Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve (Part-time)

Only applicants aged between 16 and 57, A Grade 10 Level Education or Equivalent and Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.

Join the 15th Field Artillery Regiment, The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery as a Material Management Technician

The primary responsibilities of Materiel Management Technicians are to:

  • Manage the purchasing, warehousing, shipping, receiving, stock control and disposal of obsolete stock and equipment
  • Receive, handle and prepare items for shipment
  • Operate military vehicles weighing up to 10 tons and materials-handling equipment such as forklifts
  • Process invoices and prepare shipping documents
  • Order material from internal and external sources and purchase supplies
  • Deliver supplies and provide services to operational units
  • Perform recordkeeping, stocktaking and inventory control
  • Maintain accounting and financial records
  • Process and coordinate repair and disposal functions

Army Reservists typically serve one or more evenings a week and/or during weekends at locations close to home.

In order to apply you must:

  • Be 18 years of age (or 16 with parental consent)
  • Have minimum Grade 10 education*
  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

*Officer applicants are required to either possess or be in process of obtaining a University degree.

As a private recruit the pay rate is $127.22 for a full-day.

As a Corporal the pay rate goes up to $185.20 for a full-day.
