Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments. This role requires familiarity with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. The Receiver plays a crucial part in maintaining efficient warehouse operations, ensuring proper order fulfillment, and supporting overall warehouse distribution. Prior warehouse experience, knowledge of MRP systems like AS400, and basic math skills are highly valued for this position.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists
• Inspect received goods for damages or discrepancies and report issues promptly
• Accurately document receipt of items in the warehouse management system (WMS) or MRP systems such as AS400
• Organize and store received items in designated warehouse locations
• Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping processes to support order fulfillment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
• Support inventory management activities including cycle counts and stock organization
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient distribution and timely processing of goods

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles preferred
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP systems like AS400, or similar software is a plus
• Experience operating forklifts and reach trucks required; certification preferred but not mandatory
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in a physically demanding environment
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• E-commerce experience or familiarity with order picking and packaging processes is advantageous
