Safety Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including but not limited to all requirements outlined in Sections 27 and 28
  • Review, understand and comply with all policies and procedures in the Dresden Industrial Health and Safety Manual.
  • Participate as required, during emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team
Quality Responsibilities:
  • Maintain quality standards on all products and processes
  • Exercise compliance with Quality Management Systems when implementing and performing all company procedures
Environmental Responsibilities:
  • Integrate environmental practices and commit to the continuous improvement of the EMS
  • Exercise compliance with ISO 14001 standards
General Responsibilities:
  • Oversee outgoing and incoming shipping activities
  • Accountable to ensure every shipment is accurately labelled, ships to the correct location and arrives on time.
  • Supervise shipping and repack area personnel
  • Assist with the proper training and orientation of new shipping personnel
  • Responsible for enforcing all safety policies in the Shipping department / Repack area and ensuring a clean and organized environment using the 5S Program.
  • Elevate shipping shortages, damaged goods and discrepancies with inventory to Management
  • Conduct regular finished goods inventory reconciliation
  • Accountable for a container management program and initiate claims
  • Assist in new packaging designs, reductions and maintain customer packaging databases (Fleet Calculators)
  • Accountable for recording, tracking and maintaining documentation for expedited freight shipments.
  • Assist in minimizing obsolesces
  • Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
Customer Responsibilities:
  • Liaison with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Responsible to ensure customer scorecard targets are met
  • Check customer portals as per customer requirements
  • Customer disputes such as ASN violations and timeliness, Behind Schedule Shipments, Short Shipments etc.
  • Ensuring tickets are answered within the allotted timeframes as specified from all customers including weekends when necessary.
  • Ensure shipping personnel receive customer specific portal training.
