Maximo Specialist, Business Systems

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) functional training and the planning and execution of business system processes. Responsible for technical implementation of process control and data integrity for database systems within the CMMS. Interfaces with key end-user customers to understand and interpret business requirements to allow the application of technology for solving business problems. Supports all of Tech Services as well as partnering divisions to establish and maintain guidelines and procedures, verify strategic business results, and leverage best practices within our CMMS. Works closely with all divisions in collecting requirements and tracking project life cycle to completion for CMMS initiatives. Assist with performing user acceptance testing of CMMS’ systems to ensure documented business requirements are met. Assist with ensuring change management processes are followed, UAT is complete, training & documentation is coordinated, and support is readily available to all Maximo users.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports implementation of Maximo technological system enhancements and new functionality, providing training end user support, troubleshooting issues, gathering data, recommending solutions, and providing updates and communication on all changes and new system functionality. Provides technical support to end users for all issues within the CMMS.
  • Develops and maintains detailed CMMS standard operating procedures and training material. Coordinate and conduct CMMS Training for new hires as well as refresher training to existing team members as needed.
  • Evaluates and monitors system requests, issues and enhancements as well as administer user accounts, security group access, labor, and person accounts via IT ticketing system (Service Now).
  • Identifies opportunities to improve data integrity through user interface enhancements, data validation, job aids, and user training.
    Develops continuous improvement plans and performs routine follow up with implemented projects to ensure continued success.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate Degree in Business or Information Systems (BIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics or similar is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Systems (BIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or Business Analytics or similar is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in technical database management of business data systems and technology/technical project management is required.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Maximo, SAP or other enterprise CMMS is preferred;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.
