About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

With dual responsibility to both Hospital portfolios, this position reports to the VP, Research, and VP Indigenous
Collaboration, Equity & Inclusion. The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high level, complex
administrative support for some standing committees of the TBRHRI and TBRHSC Board of Directors and to the VP,
Research and VP, Indigenous Collaboration, Equity & Inclusion. It is expected that the incumbent has a genuine
appreciation for and understanding of protocol, discretion and professionalism, is able to accept and assume
responsibility, and has the ability to interpret and make decisions in accordance with prescribed procedures and
practices of both organizations. It is important that the incumbent have a sound understanding and overall
appreciation of activities within the TBRHRI, as well as those related to the TBRHSC. In order to provide effective
and efficient services, it is expected that the incumbent maintains confidentiality, diplomacy and tact at all times.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
* Post‑secondary diploma in Office Administration or as an Administrative Professional with a minimum of five years
related experience at a senior administrative support level. Excellent skills in keyboarding and the use of computer
programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and e‑mail systems.

* Must be highly motivated, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must be able to work with
minimum supervision.
* Experience working with Boards and committees is essential.
* Requires diplomacy and discretion.
* Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, handle multiple competing priorities and have excellent
prioritization skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment.
* Operate independently with limited or no supervision.
* Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
* Flexibility and a willingness to perform other reasonable duties as requested, including flexible hours.
Assets:
* Knowledge of Indigenous practices, protocols, and languages would be an asset to the Indigenous Collaboration,
Equity & Inclusion portfolio. X Familiarity and understanding of broader hospital and universities research
environment would be an asset to the Research portfolio.
Salary Range: $28.537 to 28.992
