Job Summary:

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling machines, equipment, and drive components according to specifications. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with hand and power tools, and the ability to read technical documentation. The assembler will ensure high-quality, precise work while adhering to all plant safety standards.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components and systems by hand or using power tools based on technical instructions or blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and recommend practical solutions to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment appropriately and safely.
  • Interpret blueprints, written instructions, and vendor specifications for each build.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, dollies, cranes, carts, and pallet trucks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following basic plant safety practices.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Proficient in using various hand tools and power tools.
  • Basic math skills, including the use of fractions and decimals.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in a related technical field preferred.
  • On-the-job training will be provided by the supervisor.
  • Forklift operation experience or certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work from a ladder or elevated platform as needed.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
