MEP Connections is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded MEP consultancy with a growing presence in Dublin. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team to support the delivery of innovative, sustainable building services design across a diverse range of projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer to take the next step in their career, gain hands-on experience across all stages of the design process, and work closely with senior professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and coordination of mechanical building services including HVAC, hot/cold water, and drainage systems
  • Prepare design calculations, specifications, and technical reports
  • Collaborate with internal MEP teams and external design consultants to ensure coordinated project delivery
  • Participate in design team and client meetings, contributing to technical discussions
  • Support project delivery from early-stage concepts through to construction and handover
  • Stay informed on industry regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies

About You

  • Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • 2 to 5 years' experience in mechanical building services design within a consultancy setting
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or Hevacomp
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ambitious and eager to work toward Chartership (CEng or equivalent)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €45,000.00-€55,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dublin, CO. Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Building Services Engineering: 2 years (required)
