Qualification Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Drafting Technology or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, no minimum years-experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Self-motivated, engaged, team-oriented, and strategic thinker with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time
  • Possession of valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Experience:

  • Load Calculation software knowledge, i.e. Trane Trace 3D, Carrier HAP
  • Previous internship and/or related consulting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of all applicable codes and standards
  • Experience with public /private commercial, educational, and institutional projects
  • Report writing and energy analysis
  • Knowledge of public bidding procedures; NJDOE, NJSDA, DPMC, DMAVA
  • Plumbing and Sprinkler design knowledge a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and modify AutoCAD & REVIT files for mechanical and plumbing projects to create technical drawings for building construction
  • Visit buildings and job sites to survey and document (hand sketch) existing conditions
  • Prepare accurate drawings using AutoCAD and/or REVIT from sketches after visiting job sites
  • Assist/perform job site observations as necessary
  • Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with coworkers, consultants, and clients throughout all phases of the building project
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments without direct supervision
  • Competency to prioritize effectively and adjust work accordingly to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of construction administration processes or exhibit willingness to learn related responsibilities including shop drawing review, response to construction RFIs, and coordination with contractors
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
