Mi-Flues Ltd manufactures, designs, distributes and installs high quality flue and chimney solutions to the Industrial and Data Centre sectors, Commercial, and Merchant markets. With future significant growth planned we are recruiting for the following role to join our Technical team.
Role Title
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
This role is primarily based in Mi-Flues office in Summerhill, Co. Meath. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required at times to travel throughout Ireland and to International locations.
Role Purpose
You will provide project solutions to clients, researching and interpreting drawings, regulations, standards, client specifications and other documentation, to design and deliver product and service of the highest standard of quality, and safety, on budget and on time, building and strengthening relationships with clients to drive the business.
Principal Responsibilities
· Promote excellent safety culture on all projects.
· Build client relationships to drive the business, working closely with clients to design and agree product and service solutions of the highest quality, on time and on budget.
· Research and interpret Standards, Regulations, and other documentation, applying the learnings gained to provide project solutions to clients.
· Complete site visits, carrying out measure-ups, meeting with client representatives to obtain full understanding of project requirements.
· Complete customer drawings, specifications, flue calculations and other project requirements
· Communicate effectively and support other members of the team and those in other departments, providing training and development, to achieve desired outcomes on quality, safety, delivery and installation.
· Provide the company’s industry recognised technical support and backup service on all projects ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project to build client relationships to grow and drive the business.
· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, integrating new technologies and business procedures as needed.
· Work with the Operations team, providing support to its processes, machinery, and personnel, ensuring products are fit for purpose, meet quality standards, and are produced to scheduled delivery dates, and costs.
Person Specification
Education/Qualifications - Third level qualification in Mechanical Engineering required
Experience- Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering, providing project solutions to clients.
FULL CLEAN DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE
Skills and Competencies
Technical:
· Proficient in using design software such as Solidworks/Draftsight/Revit/BIM to produce drawings and specifications for the construction industry.
· Experience interpreting and understanding appropriate Standards and Regulations.
· Knowledge of Building Regulations
· Proven ability to drive process improvements.
· Proficiency in the use of computer systems, particularly MS Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €45,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
