The Company:

We are a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Consultancy operating in the field of commercial building services, and in the design of industrial HVAC & Utilities. Based in Cork, we deliver projects across a range of sectors, providing high-quality design, technical support, and project delivery services from concept through to completion.

Role:

We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified engineer to join our Cork office and support the design and delivery of mechanical and electrical projects across the commercial and industrial sectors.

The successful candidate will be involved in the development, coordination, and delivery of projects from initial concept design through tender, construction, commissioning, and handover. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of an experienced engineering team on a diverse range of technically interesting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Carry out detailed design calculations

· Prepare designs, specifications, schedules, reports, drawings and 3D models to meet project requirements

· Prepare and review technical documentation to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, Building Regulations, and BCAR requirements

· Coordinate with clients, contractors and utility providers to deliver the project

· Progress projects from initial concept, through tender, construction and handover

· Undertake site inspections and support the resolution of project issues, queries, and technical challenges

· Provide commissioning and project delivery support as required

· Attend project meetings, site inspections, and coordination meetings

Candidate Requirements:

The successful applicant shall have:

· A degree in Mechanical Engineering

· Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in design consultancy or similar industry role.

· Proficient in AutoCAD & Microsoft Office

· Ability to work autonomously and with confidence

· Good technical, organisational and communication skills

· A full driving licence, with willingness to travel to project sites as required

Desirable Experience:

The following would be an advantage:

· Experience using Revit / BIM

· Familiarity with IES, Amtech, Dialux, Hevacomp, or similar design software

· Membership of, or progress toward membership of, a recognised engineering body

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to €55,000.00 per year
